My Dead Friend Zoe is a drama of a dark comedy that follows the journey of Merit (Sonequa Martin-Green), a veteran of the American Army of Afghanistan, who does not agree with his family thanks to the presence of Zoe (Natalie Morales), his best dead friend) army. Despite the perseverance of his adviser Va Group (Morgan Freeman), the difficult love of his mother (Gloria Reuben) and resistance with unexpected love of interest, the dysfunctional friendship of Merit from Zoe maintains the isolated duo in the world. He is even grandfather Merit (Ed Harris) – hidden in the family family home – begins to get lost and needs the only thing he refuses … he helps. In its essence, it is a film about a complicated friendship, divided family and complex ways in which we process regret.
